LPR anti-epidemic commission approves categories of persons for mandatory vaccination

The Sanitary and Anti-Epidemic Commission (ChSPK) under the Lugansk People’s Republic government has approved the categories of person for which the COVID-19 vaccine is mandatory, the government press service reported.

“The Commission, at a meeting on Thursday, approved the categories of adults for mandatory vaccination,” the press service said.

First-level order of priority in immunization is set for

- medical and teaching staff, social service and government services centers workers,  persons living at care-giving institutions and patients diagnosed with chronic bronchopulmonary and heart diseases, diabetes and obesity.

Second-level priority is set for

- transport and energy workers, law-enforcement personnel, Lugansk People’s Republic state border checkpoint employees, shift workers, volunteers and service sector employees.

Immunization against the coronavirus infection will run in the Lugansk People’s Republic till January 25, 2022.

The World Health Organization called the COVID-19 coronavirus infection a pandemic caused by a novel coronavirus. The first coronavirus infection cases were recorded in China in late 2019. The number of coronavirus contacts across the world has exceeded 262.1 million by now; of those, over 5.2 million people died, according to the World Health Organization. The LPR confirmed 20, 732 COVID-19 cases.

To prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection, the LPR authorities put the Republic on high alert and introduced lockdown measures.*i*s
