The Lugansk People’s Republic will receive about 1.7 million ballot papers ahead of the presidential election in Russia next year, said Russian Election Commission member Konstantin Mazurevsky.
The number of ballot papers to be passed to Russian regions matches the number of registered voters as of July 1, 2023, Mazuretsky said.
The new regions’ electorate data had not been published before, so the Election Commission used the figures from the protocols of the elections held in these territories in September, he said.
Thus, the CEC will deliver  2,013,800 ballot papers to the Donetsk People’s Republic, 1,683,700 to the Lugansk People’s Republic, 496,200 to the Zaporozhye region and 543,300 to the Kherson region, Mazurevsky said.
The election of the Russian president is scheduled for March 17, 2024.*i
