LUGANSK, November 21 (Lugansk Media Centre) - Leonid Pasechnik has been inaugurated as Head of Lugansk People's Republic on Wednesday.

Deputies of the People's Council, members of the Council of Ministers, foreign delegates such as DPR Head Denis Pushilin, President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov, representatives of Russia, Abkhazia, Germany and other countries were in attendance.

"I swear, as the Head of LPR, to observe the Constitution and laws of the LPR, to respect and secure rights and freedoms of people, to execute the duties of the LPR Head with honor, to be a loyal servant of people."

The chairwoman of the LPR Supreme Court has proclaimed Pasechnik the elected head of state.

During the ceremony, Pasechnik received the symbol of power – the Symbol of LPR Head, which is a badge and an order on the chain, cast in the shape of a ten-ray star.

The LPR held elections of the Head and Parliament on November 11. Leonid Pasechnik performed well across the Republic and won the race by a sweeping majority, gaining 68.3 percent of ballots cast. The Mir Luganschine social movement secured 37 seats in the Parliament, while its rival Lugansk Economic Union won 13 mandates.
