The lawbill proposed by the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry sets the legal basis for the new regions’ joining the Moscow time zone, Lugansk People’s Republic Acting Head Leonid Pasechnik said.

“Another important step has been taken to synchronize the Republic with Russian legal environment,” Pasechnik wrote on Telegram. “The LPR has been in 2nd Time Zone since October 2014. The proposed legislation will make it a federal norm.”

“It’s a symbolic event highlighting the irreversibility of the Lugansk region’s reunification with the historical Motherland,” he said.
The Lugansk People’s Republic acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum.*i*v
