Lantratovka shelling claims eight lives, 23 people wounded - Pasechnik

Eight people have been killed in a Ukrainian army artillery strike at the Lantratovka village in the Troitskoye district of the Lugansk People’s Republic, LPR Acting Head Leonid Pasechnik said.

Ukrainian forces fired three missiles from an American high mobility artillery rocket system at Lantratovka at 04:10 on December 16.

“Early on Friday morning, Ukrainian nationalists delivered another artillery strike at the town of Stakhanov and the Lantratovka village in the Troitskoye district killing eight people and wounding another 23,” Pasechnik wrote on Telegram.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.

The Lugansk People’s Republic became a part of Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum.*i*ie
