Kravchuk's absence from Contact Group will not affect the talks - Miroshnik

The absence of Leonid Kravchuk, head of Ukrainian delegation to the Contact Group, will nor influence the talks, Lugansk People’s Republic representative in the Contact Group political subgroup Rodion Miroshnik said.

Earlier, Ukrainian media reported that Kravchuk will not be able to attend the meetings due to health issues.

"The absence of Kravchuk will only change Ukrainian "media choir" on the Minsk talks. Not a single agreement was achieved in the eleven months of his presence in the talks. His absence cannot affect the process," Miroshnik said.

He added that "all the energy of the 87-year-old Ukrainian politician is spent for rearranging deck chairs on Titanic, as he contaminated media space with fake news injections almost daily".

Miroshnik also blamed Kravchuk for populism when it comes to refusing Minsk as a venue for talks. *t
