Kiev forces shelled the territory of the Lugansk People’s Republic three times on September 21, the LPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC) reported.

“Ukrainian armed formations fired three times at the settlements of Troitskoye, Novoaidar and Svatovo using an American M 142 high mobility artillery rocket system (18 M31 GMLRS missiles),” the report said.

The artillery strike at Novoaidar killed one civilian and wounded another, and destroyed a home, a teaching block and dormitory of the  local agriculture college, a granary, a fertilizer and agricultural machinery warehouse, eight pieces of agricultural machinery, two cars and a truck and damaged four homes.

One civilian was killed and another seven were wounded in Svatovo. The shelling destroyed the administrative building and garage of the local branch of the Luganskgaz state unitary enterprise.

In Troitskoye, the artillery attack wounded a civilian and damaged several homes, the television tower and the dairy factory.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force. *i*s
