Kiev forces shell LPR nine times over 24 hours - JCCC

Kiev forces shelled the territory of the Lugansk People’s Republic nine times on September 29, the LPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC) reported.

“Ukrainian armed formations delivered nine strikes on Zolotoe-5, Svatovo, Kremennaya, Vrubovka, Rubezhnoye, Lantratovka, Privolye, Lisichansk, Kremennaya with an American M142 high mobility artillery rocket system (13 missiles of the M31 GMLRS type), and 155 mm artillery (26 rounds), tanks (4 rounds)” the JCCC said.

A civilian was killed in Rubezhnoye, three people were injured. Two multi-apartment residential houses sustained damage.

In Zolotoye-5, the Palace of Culture was destroyed, 15 multi-apartment residential houses sustained damage, as well as a kindergarten, post office and a food store.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force. *t
