Kiev forces shell LPR four times over 24 hours - JCCC

Military&Defence

Kiev forces shelled the territory of the Lugansk People’s Republic four times on September 25, the LPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC) reported.

“Ukrainian armed formations fired four times at Alchevsk, Rubezhnoye and Travnevoye using an American M142 HIMARS rocket system (firing 28 M31 GMLRS missiles),” the report said.

The strike on Alchevsk damaged four multi-apartment houses and a mother and child centre; in Pervomaisk (renamed Travnevoye in Ukraine) a garage and a bus of a road maintenance company were destroyed; in Rubezhnoye eight garages were destroyed, three damaged.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force. *t
