Kiev forces have killed 86 civilians in 1,091 artillery attacks on the Lugansk People’s Republic since the contact line situation escalated on February 17, the LPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC) reported.

“Over the period from February 17 to September 15, the LPR Office at the JCCC recorded 1,091 strikes at LPR areas by Ukrainian armed formations which used heavy weapons,” the report said. “Three hundred and fifty-three civilians have become victims of the Ukrainian aggression in the designated period; of those 86 were killed and 267 were wounded. Four children were killed and another 25 were wounded in artillery attacks.”

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The Donbass peace talks participants have announced ceasefire more than 20 times since the autumn of 2014. Kiev forces regularly violated the truce opening fire with large caliber artillery, mortars and tank guns which were to have been withdrawn from the contact line under the accords.*i*r
