LUGANSK, January 29 (Lugansk Media Centre) – Kiev forces have launched an attack on Frunze damaging residential houses and power transmission lines, said LPR People's Militia press service head Yakov Osadchiy.

"Today at 6.05 p.m. the members of the 93rd Ukrainian brigade under command of Bryzhinsky opened fire on populated areas and purposefully targeted Frunze with 82 mm mortars," he said.

Civilians had to take to basements of their houses to survive the shelling.

Four houses have been damaged as a result (at 31, 32, 33, 34 Pervomaiskaya street). A PTL was damaged as well leaving 426 customers in Frunze and 238 residents of Petrovenki without power," he informed.

Repair teams were unable to access the area due to a threat of shelling renewal.

Osadchiy called on the SMM to record the aftermath of the attack.

The reports of attack came as the Contact Group was holding peace talks in Minsk.
