Kiev forces shell former Air Force Academy in Lugansk - Pasechnik

Ukrainian forces on Monday morning have shelled the area of the former Air Force Navigator Academy in Lugansk, said Lugansk People’s Republic Acting Head Leonid Pasechnik.
“Ukrainian nationalists attacked Lugansk at eight o’clock in the morning as people were going to work and children were going to school,” Pasechnik wrote on Telegram. “The strike was delivered at the area of the former Air Force Navigator Academy.”
Rescue services are working at the scene; damage assessment is underway, he said.
On May 13, Ukrainian armed formations fired a Storm Shadow cruise missile at the Yubileinoye neighborhood in Lugansk wounding an elderly woman and damaging homes, garages and a power line. In the Storm Shadow missile attack on Lugansk on May 12, six children and Russian lawmaker Viktor Vodolatsky were wounded and six homes and facilities of two non-operating companies were ruined or damaged.
The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.
The Lugansk People’s Republic acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum.*i*v
