Kiev forces fire over 2,800 MLRS rounds at LPR since February 17

Kiev forces have fired more than 2,800 multiple rocket launcher rounds at the Lugansk People’s Republic since the contact line escalation on February 17, the LPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC) reported.

“The enemy fired more than 10,000 rounds of ammunition at LPR settlements overall using Tochka-U tactical missile systems (37 missiles), American M142 HIMARS (335 missiles), BM-21 “Grad”, BM-27 “Uragan” and BM-30 “Smerch” MLRS (2,484 projectiles) and American M777 artillery pieces (65 rounds),” the JCCC said.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force. *i*s
