Kiev forces fire more than 20 HIMARS, 155mm artillery rounds at LPR over week - JCCC

Military&Defence
Ukrainian armed formations fired more than 20 rounds from high mobility artillery rocket systems (HIMARS) and 155mm artillery pieces at the Lugansk People’s Republic over the past week, said the LPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine's war crimes (JCCC).

“In the course of artillery attacks (last week), the enemy used an “Olkha” multiple rocket launcher (one “Olkha-M” high-explosive fragmentation missile), HIMARS (11 missiles) and 155mm artillery pieces (11 projectiles),” the JCCC said. “Two people were killed and another four were wounded in shelling by Ukrainian forces.”

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.

The Lugansk People’s Republic acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum.*i*v
