Japanese sanctions indicate close attention to LPR authorities - official

Putting representatives of the new Russian regions on another sanctions list shows that the actions of the authorities in these regions are closely monitored, Lugansk People’s Republic Deputy Minister of Culture, Sport and Youth Vasily Noskov told the Lugansk Media Center in comments on the sanctions imposed against him by Japan.

Earlier, the Japanese Foreign Ministry announced that the assets of 39 people and 73 organizations from Russia would be frozen (if these assets were found). Separately, it included nine officials from the administrations of the Kherson region and the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics on the sanctions list. Apart from Noskov, sanctions were imposed against LPR Industry and Trade Minister Timur Samatov and LPR Fuel, Energy and Coal Industry Minister Konstantin Zavizenov.

“I’ve found myself on a new sanctions list which makes me indescribably happy because it seems that we’re doing everything right. Western “partners” assess our efforts putting us on a new sanctions list,” the deputy minister said.

He said that the news about “frozen assets” was surprising.

“I’ve never kept any assets or bank accounts abroad; nevertheless, I’m glad to have been included on the sanctions list,” Noskov said. *i*ie
