Ukrainian HIMARS attack on Stakhanov leaves a former hotel destroyed, the town administration said.
In the early hours of August 26, Kiev forces fired 10 HIMARS rockets on the town.
"The building of the former Donbass Hotel was destroyed. The local administration head Sergey Zhevlakov immediately arrived to the scene", the statement reads.
Ukraine has been carrying out a military crackdown against Donbass since 2014. Multiple announcements of ceasefires failed to stabilize the situation. The simmering armed conflict escalated rapidly in February this year, and sent Donbass barrelling towards an unprecedented bloodshed.
