Military&Defence
Kiev forces have shelled the settlement of Irmino in the Lugansk People’s Republic damaging homes in a single-family neighborhood, vital infrastructure facilities and power lines, said Stakhanov administration head Sergey Zhevlakov.

“Irmino came under Ukrainian armed formations artillery fire at around 00:30 on Friday,” Zhevlakov wrote on Telegram. “Luckily, there have been no casualties.  Damage has been caused to a residential area, infrastructure facilities and power lines.”

The mayor said he had driven to the scene of shelling in the morning.

Utility companies launched repairs and the Department for Rebuilding delivered plastic film and wooden beading, he said.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.

The Lugansk People’s Republic acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum. *i*ie
