Government to fund environmental projects in new regions

Russian authorities will finance several environmental projects in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republic, the government press service reported.

 

“The Donbass Republics will receive 42.5 million rubles for riverbank cleanups, the “Donetsk Ridge” recreation zone project and outreach events including an all-Russia workshop which will gather young soil scientists,” the press service said.

 

Environmental protection measures are part of the program approved by the Russian government after the president’s meeting with young environmentalists in September 2022.*i*ie
