Designated committee reports 48 LPR children killed since 2014

The special committee under the LPR Head on documenting war crimes of military-political regime of Ukraine has recorded 48 child victims at the hands of Ukrainian army, a member of the committee Sergey Belov said.

"In the LPR territory, including the liberated territories, at least 48 children have been killed since April 14, 2014. Just today, we have received another report on a child victim," he said.

Since the February 17, 2022 escalation, 13 children have been killed.

"The actual number is higher, these are just verified reports," Belov said.

More than 2,100 residents of the Lugansk People’s Republic have been killed and more than 2,000 have been wounded in Ukrainian armed aggression against the Republic since 2014, LPR Ombudswoman Viktoria Serdyukova said earlier.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The Donbass peace talks participants have announced ceasefire more than 20 times since the autumn of 2014. Kiev forces regularly violated the truce, opening fire with large calibre artillery, mortars and tank guns which were to have been withdrawn from the contact line under the accords. *t
