The six children wounded in the Kiev artillery attack on Lugansk on May 12 will be sent for rehabilitation, said Lugansk People’s Republic Acting Head Leonid Pasechnik.

“I’m in constant touch with the Healthcare Ministry over the condition of the victims hurt in Ukrainian nationalists’ strikes,” Pasechnik said in a post on Telegram. "One child who suffered a concussion in the May 12 attack remains in hospital.  There’s no threat to his life; the doctors are working on his soonest recovery.”

The LPR leader said that the LPR children needed rehabilitation therapy after the stress they had experienced.

“I’ve already issued the order to make arrangements for their rehabilitation,” he said.

On May 12, Ukrainian forces fired two missiles at Lugansk damaging or destroying office buildings of the non-operating companies “Poli-Pak” and “Milam.” Windows on six houses were smashed in the attack, said the LPR Office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.

The Lugansk People’s Republic acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum. *i*ie
