Russian army repels two Ukrainian attacks in Kremennaya district - Defense Ministry

Russian forces have repelled two Kiev army attacks next to the Chervonaya Dibrova village in the Kremennaya district over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
“On the Krasny Liman axis, Task Force Center” units, aircraft and artillery repelled two attacks by the Ukrainian army’s 63rd and 67th Mechanized Brigades in the Chervonaya Dibrova settlement area in the Lugansk People’s Republic,” the report said. “Enemy losses on this axis amounted up to 70 servicemen killed or wounded, two infantry fighting vehicles, two pickups and two D-20 howitzers.”
On the Kupyansk axis, Task Force “West” aircraft and artillery delivered strikes at manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian army's 14th and 32nd Mechanized Brigades and 25th Airborne Brigade in the areas of Zagoruikovka and Ivanovka in the Kharkov region and Rozovka and Berestovoye in the Lugansk People’s Republic.
The Ukrainian army lost more than 65 servicemen, two cars, one US-made M1097 Avenger air-defense missile system and several other American weapons.
Forty-two Ukrainian drones were shot down including in the areas of Belogorovka, Karamzinovka and Volcheyarovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic, the Defense Ministry said.
The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.
President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation on February 24, 2022 to protect Donbass residents from Ukrainian aggression. Prior to that, LPR and DPR Heads Leonid Pasechnik and Denis Pushilin asked the Russian leader to provide military assistance.*i
