Apartment building damaged as Kiev forces shell Lisichansk

An apartment in a four-storey building caught fire as a result of the Ukrainian artillery strike at Lisichansk on Tuesday; there were no civilians casualties, said the press service of the Emergency Situations Ministry Department for the Lugansk People’s Republic.
“The town emergency service was alerted to a fire in Sverdlov Street at 14:46,” the press service said.
As the rescuers arrived at the scene, furniture and household effects were on fire on an area of 12 square meters, and there was a risk of fire spreading to other apartments.
Nobody was hurt in the incident. The fire was extinguished at 15:39, the Ministry said.
Also on Tuesday, an apartment building and stadium infrastructure in the town of Kremennaya were damaged in a Kiev artillery attack.
The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.
President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation on February 24, 2022 to protect Donbass residents from Ukrainian aggression. Prior to that, LPR and DPR Heads Leonid Pasechnik and Denis Pushilin asked the Russian leader to provide military assistance.*i*ie
