Two ambulance personnel have been wounded in a Ukrainian artillery attack at Novoivanovka in the Popasnaya district, Pervomaisk administration Head Sergey Kolyagin said in a preliminary report.

Earlier, the Lugansk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC) said that Ukrainian armed formations had delivered a strike at the Novoivanovka village using an American high mobility artillery rocket system (HIMARS).
Kolyagin said a Pervomaisk ambulance had come under fire.

“According to preliminary information, two medics were wounded and the ambulance vehicle was damaged,” he wrote on Telegram.

Kolyagin also said that “a building of a state-run organization was damaged in the shelling.”

Popasnaya district settlements are administered by Pervomaisk authorities.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.

The Lugansk People’s Republic joined Russia on September 30, 2022, based on the results of the unification referendum.*i*ie
