Academicians in new Russian regions entitled to monthly pay - government
SocietyMembers of state academies in the new Russian regions will receive monthly pay pursuant to a Russian government resolution, the government’s press service said on Telegram.
The academic payroll for the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republic and Zaporozhye and Kherson regions will be funded from the federal budget. Monthly payments amount to 80,000 rubles for academicians and 40,000 for associate members, the press service said.
The Russian Academy of Sciences (RAN) is responsible for the provision of payments under the state program “Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation.”
Applicants have to forward pay requests to RAN with attached copies of documents proving membership in Ukraine’s national academies of sciences as of February 24, 2022.
