Leader of the political party A Just Russia - For Truth (SRZP) Sergey Mironov has said that the SRZP is setting up its branches in the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics.
"On February 2, SRZP members held a general meeting in Lugansk which decided to set up a regional branch of the Party in the Lugansk People’s Republic,” TASS cited Mironov as saying. Head of the Lugansk-based SRZP Rights Protection Center Gennady Tarakanov was elected chairman of the Council of the LPR branch.
Mironov said that the decision to set up the SRZP regional branch in the Donetsk People’s Republic was made at the general meeting of SRZP members in Donetsk on February 5. First deputy chairperson of the Russian parliament Committee on Culture Yelena Drapeko was elected chairperson of the Council of the SRZP branch in the DPR.
SRZP members will hold meetings in the near future to set up Party branches in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
The Lugansk People’s Republic, Donetsk People’s Republic and Zaporozhye and Kherson regions acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referenda.*i*v
