95 LPR residents killed in Ukrainian army strikes since February 17 - JCCC

Ninety-five civilians have been killed in the Lugansk People’s Republic in artillery attacks by Kiev forces since the contact line situation escalated in February, the LPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC) reported.

“Three hundred and seventy-eight civilians have become victims of Ukrainian armed formations aggression in the designated period (from February 17 to September 22); of those 95 were killed and 283 were wounded. Seven children were killed and another 25 were wounded in artillery attacks,” the JCCC said.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force. *i*s
