The Office of Lugansk People’s Republic ombudsperson Viktoria Serdyukova has helped to find more than 60 missing Ukrainian servicemen among prisoners-of-war.
Over the first five months of this year, the ombudsperson’s Office received 328 requests to find persons who had taken part in the hostilities on the side of Ukraine, Serdyukova wrote on Telegram. “Having looked into the appeals, the Office reported that only 61 members of Ukrainian armed formations were held in the LPR territory. The fate of 267 Ukrainian citizens remains unknown.”
In May, the ombudsperson’s Office said that it helped to establish the whereabouts of 49 Kiev army servicemen in the first four months of this year.
