400 infrastructure facilities restored in LPR in 2023

Construction workers have rebuilt some 400 civil infrastructure facilities in the Lugansk People’s Republic since the beginning of this year, said LPR government deputy chairperson Yelena Kostenko.
 
Kostenko chaired an online session of the headquarters for rebuilding the Republic. The participants included LPR Construction and Public Utilities Minister Igor Zharkov, his first deputies Artyom Anisimov and Stanislav Duplenko, and representatives of the Territorial Development Fund state-owned company, LPR municipalities and Russian sponsor regions.
 
“Repairs have been completed on 391 facilities including nine medical centers, seven schools, four kindergartens and 62 apartment buildings since the beginning of this year,” she said. “Workers have also restored 102 power supply facilities, 23 heat supply facilities, and more than 50 water supply and wastewater facilities.
 
Repairs are ongoing, At present, more than 5,000 specialists and 830 pieces of equipment are engaged in rebuilding projects, Kostenko said.
 
Last week, the Belokurakino administration and its sponsor, the Belgorod region, completed the repairs of two water supply facilities.
 
Belokurakino well pump replacement boosted water supply to 300 residents of the settlement. The replacement of a two-kilometer-long pipe improved water supply to 270 residents of the Timoshino village, the official said.
 
LPR Construction and Public Utilities Minister Igor Zharkov said that the Russian regions which provide assistance to the Lugansk People’s Republic helped it rebuild more than 1,900 infrastructure facilities in 2022.
