Another 35 militiamen have returned from Ukrainian captivity, Lugansk People’s Republic Acting Head Leonid Pasechnik said.

“It would be superfluous to talk about confinement conditions: batteries, tortures...  Lugansk region heroes are exhausted but unbroken,” Pasechnik wrote on Telegram.

Each returnee is undergoing a medical examination, to be followed by rehabilitation, he said.

“The guys can hug their relatives at last. We continue to work on the release of our guys from Nazi prison cells,” the LPR leader said.

The LPR got back 11, nine and four militiamen in previous prisoner swaps with Ukraine.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation to protect Donbass residents from Ukrainian aggression.
