200 residents of Ukraine get LPR humanitarian program benefits since April

More than 200 residents of Ukraine have received lumpsum payments under the aegis of the humanitarian program for Donbass people reunification and support of the Russian-speaking population in Ukraine, the Lugansk People’s Republic Labor and Social Policy Ministry reported.

“Two hundred and one residents of Ukraine received benefits in the period from April 2021 to July 26, 2021. The recipients are 17 WWII veterans, 180 large families, and four teachers of the Russian language and literature who had made a contribution to Russian literature and culture,” the report said.

In 2021, the program will be implemented through December 24 except for Sundays and public holidays. The mobile center at the Stanitsa Luganskaya crossing point will handle one-time payments, the Ministry said.

The one-time 15,000-ruble payments are available to

Great Patriotic War (June 22, 1941 - May 9, 1945) and WWII veterans, and Nazi persecution victims;

families with three or more children under 18 years of age;

teachers of Russian and/or literature who made a significant contribution to the development of Russian literature and were awarded the title of Pedagogical Labor Veteran or other official awards in their field.

“The program provides for rehabilitation of children with disabilities and risk group children of Russian-speaking parents, who have medical indications and require special conditions for rehabilitation services. At present, two children have received such services,” according to the Ministry.

Earlier, the LPR government approved a program of social support of certain group of citizens including veterans, teachers of Russian and literature and large families living in Ukraine. *i*s
