More than 180 kilometers of roads and 14 structures will be restored in the Lugansk People’s Republic by the end of this year, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.

“Priority will be given to roads with high traffic density: Orekhovo-Lugansk, Schastye-Lugansk, Pervomaisk-Mikhailvoka, Lugansk-Antratsit district and parts of the road from Lugansk to the Krasnaya Talovka checkpoint,” Khusnullin said in a post on Telegram.

Round-the-clock repairs and maintenance involve more than 800 people and some 500 pieces of equipment and will largely be completed by the end of August, he said.

Khusnullin earlier said that most of the repairs in the Gukovo checkpoint area had been finished and that  three highways in the LPR would get the status of federal roads.
