14 foreign countries trade with LPR - Lugansk Customs

Companies of 14 foreign countries trade with the Lugansk People’s Republic, the Lugansk Customs press service told the Lugansk Media Center.

 

“The LPR imports goods from 14 foreign states including Turkey, China, India, the United Arab Emirates and Brazil,” the press service said citing Lugansk Customs Acting Head Konstantin Savelyev. “Foodstuffs, agricultural raw materials, machines, equipment, vehicles, textiles and chemical industry products account for the largest share of the Republic’s imports.”

 

LPR Commerce and Industry Chamber Chairman Anatoly Chekh said that the number of countries exporting their products to the Republic increased considerably after the LPR’s accession to Russia.

 

“Our business people have the opportunity to conclude direct contracts, though they still have some problems,” Chekh said.

 

LPR companies also engage in mutual trade with Belarus. “The most shipped goods are tyres and car parts, alcohol and soft drinks, boilers, equipment and mechanisms. The goods are shipped under Eurasian Economic Community regulations without the payment of custom dues,” the Lugansk Customs said.

Savelyev earlier said that LPR enterprises exported products to a number of foreign countries including India and Turkey.

 

LPR Industry and Trade Minister Timur Samatov told the Lugansk Media Center that LPR enterprises had launched cooperation with partners in friendly states and Eurasian Economic Union members such as Belarus and Kazakhstan.

 

The Lugansk People’s Republic, Donetsk People’s Republic and Zaporozhye and Kherson regions acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referenda.  *i*ie
