14 civilians killed in Kiev artillery strikes at LPR over week - JCCC

Military&Defence
Fourteen civilians have been killed and another 25 have been wounded in Ukrainian artillery attacks on the Lugansk People’s Republic over the past week, said the LPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine's war crimes (JCCC).

“Thirty-nine people became victims of Ukrainian armed formations aggression in the designated period (over the past week); of those, 14 were killed and 25 were wounded,” the JCCC said.

In the week before last, seven LPR civilians including a child were killed in Ukrainian artillery attacks.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force.

The Lugansk People’s Republic acceded to Russia on September 30, 2022 following the unification referendum. *i*ie
