100 LPR residents killed in Ukrainian army strikes since February 17 - JCCC

One hundred civilians have been killed in the Lugansk People’s Republic in Kiev artillery attacks since the contact line situation escalated in February, the LPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC) reported.

“Four hundred and four civilians have become victims of Ukrainian armed formations aggression in the designated period (from February 17 to September 29); of those 100 were killed and 304 were wounded. Seven children were killed and another 27 were wounded in artillery attacks,” the JCCC said.

The Ukrainian government launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation against Donbass in April 2014.  The peace talks that began soon thereafter failed to reach tangible results due to Kiev’s position to settle the conflict by force. *i*s
